"Examine your privilege. Question it constantly."

As it relates to documentary filmmaking (and so much more), I'm trying to deepen my understanding that one cannot be concerned only with the stories being told and not examine who is telling them. This speech by editor Lewis Erskine speaks so well to that:

EDITOR LEWIS ERSKINE’S CALL TO ACTION: “EXAMINE YOUR PRIVILEGE; QUESTION IT CONSTANTLY”

"When I walk into this room and get a stomach ache, you’ve got to walk into this room and get a stomach ache. Right? That’s the way it’s going to change."
